So almost done!

Just erased my post!!!

Fuck, I hate doing that! No pics this week, forgot my cd program at the hotel. Shitty, I had great pictures.

Last night, I drank hard liquor for the first time in a long while. Don't remember much, I don't know how I got back to my room last night, but I almost made it to a bed (Iain woke me up this morning telling me there was space IN the bed...). I also passed out in the storage room this afternoon, sleeping among my fellow treeplanter backpacks.

Almost done the contract, can't wait. Last week, laziness kicked in and Adam, Kenny and me wasted as much time having breaks at the cache (where our tree bins are located) as planting trees in our shitty lands. Kenny and me buddy planted all week, it was funnier that way and we laughed our asses off thinking about ideas for a script I'm writing. I also climbed a tree. Productive.

We got 2 new crews at camp to help us finish the contract, there is about 100 people at camp right now. Some girls thought Kenny and me were twins. We're not twins, we're a couple! ;op

Talking of Kenny again, I kicked his ass at our battleship tournament 10-7. Most of the games were close, but the best mind finaly got the victory he desserved (Ah, modesty!).

Shorter post, didn't feel like re-writing everything all over again. Finaly had time to read a few of Charlotte's blogs. They are incredible, funny, interesting and smart. Keep up the good stuff miss!

In a few days, I'll be back to regular posting, yay!

10 days!!!

Wow, almost done. Only 10 days (and one day off in 6 days) of planting to go. Can't wait for my little vacation in Montreal!

Last week, I said I might have fucked a second camera while drunk in Sudbury...Well, yes, I did fuck it up, but I was able to exchange the camera without hassles. So, third camera in two months!

Our new, and last, campsite is beautiful, we're surrounded by two stunning lakes, a wonderful beach by my tent and enough wind not to be bugged too much by flies of any kind (I hate flies, apart from the Dragon and Butter ones...)

Won't write much more, I didn't sleep a lot last night and I just smoked a huge bowl, will just post a few pics, soon, I'll be back to normal posting habits anyway...

Adam, me.

The greatest feeling on earth (for bald men...). Cody and me.

My crappy piece, full of shit.

My crappy reaction to the piece.

Kenny doing the human flagpole, again almost killing himself...

Mark, Chris, Tim, Adam, me and a part of Cody's head

Laura, me.

Part one of the stuntman tequila. Tim and Kenny sniffing the salt.

Part two of the stuntman tequila. Tim and Kenny after the lime juice in the eye.

Part three of the stuntman tequila. Tim and Kenny: The aftermath.

A shitload of planters.

Birthday free beer. Didn't pay a penny for alcohol at the bar, but got quite drunk. Got a few free beers, then started to randomly take full pints off tables. Great night.

Another week down! Three more to go. It was a hard one, seven days shift, hot and humid as hell. It got to 35 degrees (celsius, Charlotte. In farenheit, I think it's about 90 or something...You americans will have to get to the rest of the world's standards one of those days ;op), it's almost impossible to plant, you end up with a headache every day. At least there's an incredible lake at camp. There is also the deer flies, bigger than a deer, buzzing around you all day and therefore, driving you mad as hell. The worse is that you can't kill them, if you do so, you'll get their pheromones on you and an army of them will swarm you. Nice stuff.

In the other funny stuff that happened this week, I've been chosen, along with Kenny to do a plastic mission. Shortly put, we had to go, along with Domtar's (our client forest product company) representatives to our two last weeks planting locations and get the trays and cassettes used to store the trees. Bandy, our camp supervisor paid us a room in a crappy motel because we had to stay overnight pretty far from camp(about 250KM). Webbwood, the town where we were staying is barely inhabited, merely 300 people living there. So at 9:30PM, after watching Family Guy while getting baked, we got the munchies and went on a mission. Sadly, the gas station and the general store (yes, a general store!) were both closed, so we figured out the motel had a vending machine. Nope. But here's the fun part; There is a strippers club in the motel, so we got there and asked for chocolate bars. The stripper/waitress said no, but she had chips, nibs and sweet tarts...Candies in a strip club!!! So we ended up buying nibs and sweet tarts from a stripper and we got back to the room, stoned, laughing our asses off!

It was my birthday two days ago, and Kenny's one yesterday so yesterday night off in Sudbury was great. Didn't get that drunk in years. Kenny got a great visit from his girlfriend, she came up here from Toronto just for his birthday. she's a great girl and they make a nice couple...Useless to say that we didn't see them that much yesterday...

No pictures this week, no time and I'm in a public library (it's free!!!). Anyway, following my Sudbury drunken tradition, I might have fucked up my second digital camera...I'm a retard! But it's not too bad, it doesn't LOOK broken so I'll go back to the store, it's still under the warranty and I'll exhange it...No ore drunken picture time, despite the great pics I took last night.

Bought Green Day's Amercian Idiot yesterday...A great album! I was grinning like a fool, while listening to it last night, at 5AM, on the toilet bowl, drunk and stoned. (Despite appearances, I'm not sketchy, okay!)

I look forward to be done the contract, to see friends and familly and enjoy the comforts of "civilization" and relax. Changed my biking plans, might bike to New York instead...shorter trip. Hello to everybody; Brooke, Greig, Denis, Jee, J-S, Matthieu Toupin, Mathieu Ouimet, Oli, I don't have time for emails this week, and I didn't read any forums or blogs in weeks. Will have to update myself after planting...I miss you all guys! Write to me!

That's about it for me, time to go buy food and get on the bus for the trip back to the hellhole I call home. I volunteered for reefer duty, meaning unloading trees from a 18-wheeler truck(Did I write about that earlier?). Since it's a day off, we'll get paid $25, for basically half an hour of work...$50/hour, not too bad, eh?

When hell disguises as paradise

Hi! Don't have a lot of time to write, I know it sucks since I didn't post in a while, but the days off are actually full of stuff to do so it'll be a short one.

Broke my camera two weeks ago while being drunk in a hotel corridor, was still able to take pictures so there is a few one below, no captions, sorry, no time. I bought a new one today, will take care of that one for sure!!!

We went to a great location for our camp two weeks ago, beside a beautiful lake, wit canoe and paddle boats at our disposition. The only problem was that the land was the shittiest ever seen. Even my crewboss actually said at one moment the piece (treeplanting lexicon in my next post...) I was planting was the worst she had ever seen!

Now we moved to an ugly logging camp location beside a nice enough lake and a train track...It is just great to be awoken 3 times a night by a train, whose driver I swear do it on purpose to honk the horns as many times as possible.

As for anything else, still work and party hard, having a blast. I made $300 in a day this week...Not too bad.

Will go back to Montreal for 2-3 weeks after the contract ends at the beginning of July. then, I don't know yet but I might bike across the country to get back to Banff...Not sure yet, could be a crazy plan but it sure would be fun. I might do ti with two treeplanting buddies, but even if they bail out, I'll still might give it a try.

Now, random pictures time, bigger pictures available here. Will write in 7 days.

Meese's (He tought the plural form of moose was meese...hence the nickname) tent down for the 5th time...

Trailer trash Kenny...he shaved the mullet two days later.

Trays of trees and a delivery truck...

Our beloved transportation...

Johnny Pro at work...

A shitload of butterflies...

Camp #2 view from the paddle boat...

That's it. Later.
